The Blackmagic ATEM Television Studio HD8 is a 1 M/E broadcast production switcher with eight 12G-SDI inputs, built for studios and live events that need real broadcast features in a single rack unit. It switches HD up to 1080p60 sources, streams direct to the internet and integrates with cameras, talkback and tally.
Overview
Eight 12G-SDI inputs auto-detect their format and switch HD up to 1080p60 sources cleanly. A built-in hardware streaming engine sends the program to RTMP services over Ethernet, and the USB connection works as a webcam for software. You get a full broadcast toolkit: multiple keyers, DVEs, a Fairlight audio mixer, multiview, media pool, and proper camera control with built-in DaVinci primary color correction.

This model records to external media; the 2TB version adds a built-in disk.

Do I need a computer to use it?
No. ATEM switches on its own, and the Pro and Extreme models stream and record without a computer. The free ATEM Software Control adds advanced setup when you want it.
Can it work as a webcam for Zoom or Teams?
Yes. It connects to a computer over USB and appears as a webcam in Zoom, Teams, OBS and similar software.
