DOD Electronics — America's Pedal Since 1974
Founded in Salt Lake City in 1974 by engineer David Oreste DiFrancesco (the D-O-D) and musician John Johnson on $100. The 1977 DOD 250 Overdrive/Preamp became one of the defining American overdrive circuits — referenced by generations of boutique builders that followed. Through the late 1970s and 1980s, DOD earned the unofficial nickname "America's Pedal" by putting reliable working-musician effects into metal boxes at touring-guitarist prices. The current lineup balances the heritage circuits (250 Overdrive, 201 Phasor, 280 Compressor, 410 Bifet Boost) with newer designs co-developed with boutique builders — the Looking Glass with SHOE Pedals, the Boneshaker designed by Black Arts Toneworks, plus the Rubberneck analog delay, Carcosa and Chthonic fuzz pedals, and the new Badder Monkey overdrive. Victory Musical is an authorized dealer.
