Hohner has made harmonicas in Trossingen, Germany since 1857, and more of them than anyone else. The instruments that came out of that factory defined the sound of American blues, folk and country. What keeps Hohner on stages now is consistency. Reed plates are replaceable and models like the Old Standby and 270 Super Chromonica have been in production long enough that any player knows what they are getting.
