Sontronics — Hand-Built Studio Microphones from Poole, England
Founded in 2005 in Poole, England by audio engineer Trevor Coley, Sontronics builds studio microphones by hand on the south coast of England — every product, every model, every price tier. The flagship Delta 2 active ribbon is used by Bernard Butler, Radiohead's Ed O'Brien, Steve Stevens, and Aerosmith for high-SPL guitar amp, brass, and saxophone capture. The catalog runs from $130 handheld dynamic vocal mics up to the $2,900 Apollo 2 stereo Blumlein ribbon. Victory Musical is an authorized Sontronics dealer carrying the complete catalog — Ribbon Series, Tube Series, large- and small-diaphragm condensers, drum microphones, live dynamics, and the Podcast Pro broadcast line. Every microphone hand-built in England.
