Allen & Heath ZEDi-10 is a hybrid compact mixer and 4-in 4-out USB audio interface with 4 mic/line inputs on XLR and TRS, 2 stereo inputs on TRS, and 2 Hi-Z instrument inputs. It carries 3-band EQ with a low cut filter, XLR main outputs and 48 V phantom power, and runs standalone or as a computer interface.

Four in and four out over USB is the difference that matters against the ZEDi-8. Four separate sources reach the computer as separate tracks rather than as a stereo mix, which means a multitrack session is possible rather than only a stereo capture.
As a mixer it stands on its own with no computer connected: four mic or line channels with 48 V phantom, two stereo channels, and two Hi-Z inputs for guitar or bass straight in. The EQ steps up to 3-band with a low cut filter, which is enough to work with rather than only to correct.
For a small studio that also plays live, this removes the usual duplication of owning a mixer for the room and an interface for the desk.

Can I Multitrack With the ZEDi-10?
Yes, up to four channels. The four in and four out USB interface sends four separate sources to the computer as individual tracks rather than as a single stereo mix, which is what multitracking requires.
Who Is the ZEDi-10 For?
Small studios that also need a live mixer, bands recording rehearsals as separate tracks, podcasters with several microphones, and anyone who would otherwise own both a compact mixer and a four-channel interface.
How Is It Different From the ZEDi-8?
Four mic/line inputs instead of two, four in and four out USB instead of two, and 3-band EQ instead of 2-band. The Hi-Z inputs, phantom power and XLR outputs are the same.
Does It Have Onboard Effects?
No. The ZEDi-10FX is the same mixer with an internal digital FX engine added.
