AlphaTheta DDJ-FLX2 is a compact 2-channel DJ controller for people starting out, and AlphaTheta's lightest controller at 2.6 lb. It runs on USB bus power from a computer or mobile device, connects to phones and tablets over Bluetooth MIDI, and works with rekordbox, djay, Serato DJ Lite and Traktor Play.
A first controller light enough to throw in a backpack, with no power supply to carry.
The DDJ-FLX2 is built for the first year of DJing. It powers from the USB Type-C connection to a PC, Mac or mobile device, so there is no adapter to carry, and it connects to a phone or tablet over Bluetooth MIDI when powered from a USB Type-C adapter or a mobile battery.
It works with rekordbox, djay, Serato DJ Lite and Traktor Play, and with Serato DJ Pro on a license, and supports streaming from Apple Music, Beatport Streaming, SoundCloud, Spotify and TIDAL depending on the app and region. Music plays through the computer or phone's own speakers, or through speakers connected to the master output.
The controls cover the fundamentals: jog wheels, tempo sliders, 3-band EQ per channel, CFX knobs, Beat Sync, and Performance Pads for Hot Cue, Pad FX, Sampler and Loop. Smart CFX and Smart Fader are mix-assist functions that help a new DJ make clean transitions.
