AlphaTheta DDJ-GRV6 is a 4-channel DJ controller for rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro with a club CDJ and DJM layout. It has CDJ-3000X sized 206 mm jog wheels, 8 Performance Pads above each jog, the Beat FX section from the DJM-A9, and Groove Circuit for remixing drums live.
Club-size jogs and DJM-A9 effects, with a drum section you can rebuild mid-mix.
The DDJ-GRV6 lays out like a pair of CDJs and a DJM. The 206 mm jog wheels match the CDJ-3000X in size, the 8 Performance Pads sit above the jogs, and the Beat FX section comes from the DJM-A9 mixer with a dedicated Beat FX channel select.
Groove Circuit is the reason it exists. Drum Swap, Drum Roll and Trans, Drum Release and Capture let a DJ pull apart and rebuild the drums of a track during the mix in rekordbox for Mac and Windows. A free pack of 40 drum loops downloads for Drum Swap. In Serato DJ Pro it supports Stems FX on drums, bass, vocals or melody, and an overlay sheet is included to relabel the controls.
It works with a PC, Mac, phone or tablet, and connects directly to an iPhone or iPad running rekordbox for iOS with the included USB Type-C cable. The sound card is built in and class compliant, so no driver is needed on a computer. The Smart Rotary Selector browses with up, down, left and right tilt in rekordbox 7, and the Discover button opens rekordbox Track Suggestion.
