AlphaTheta HDJ-F10 are professional wireless DJ headphones with SonicLink monitoring at 9 ms latency, plus Bluetooth 5.2 with noise cancelling for everyday listening. They use a new 40 mm PEEK-PU-PEEK driver, run about 9 hours on SonicLink and 30 on Bluetooth, and passed the MIL-STD-810H shock test. This is the headphones only; the HP-TX01 transmitter is sold separately.
Wireless monitoring fast enough to cue and beatmatch on.
Bluetooth is too slow to DJ on. SonicLink is AlphaTheta's low-latency wireless system, and at 9 ms it is, by AlphaTheta's figure, 20 times faster than the Bluetooth SBC codec, fast enough to cue and beatmatch without a cable. SonicLink connects to an XDJ-AZ directly, or to any mixer with a PHONE or 3.5 mm monitor output through the HP-TX01 transmitter.
The HDJ-F10 are AlphaTheta's flagship headphones. A newly developed 40 mm driver with a PEEK-PU-PEEK composite diaphragm sits in a housing with a bass-reflex duct and air chamber for a tight kick and low end, and AlphaTheta states the sound insulation is higher than the Pioneer DJ HDJ-X10.
Off the decks, Bluetooth 5.2 adds active noise cancelling and a Transparency mode for prep and everyday listening, and a built-in microphone handles calls and voice assistants. Battery runs about 9 hours on SonicLink and about 30 hours on Bluetooth, and they also work wired. A carrying pouch and a spare pair of earpads are included.
