AlphaTheta HDJ-F9 are on-ear wireless DJ headphones with SonicLink monitoring as low as 9 ms and multipoint Bluetooth 5.3. They pair by touch with SonicLink gear such as the DJM-V5, use a 40 mm PEEK-PU-PEEK driver, swivel for one-ear monitoring, and run up to 9 hours on SonicLink and 25 on Bluetooth.
On-ear SonicLink headphones that pair with a touch.
The HDJ-F9 bring SonicLink to an on-ear design. Latency is as low as 9 ms, against roughly 200 to 300 ms for Bluetooth with standard codecs by AlphaTheta's figure. SonicLink Touch Pairing connects them by touching the headphones to compatible gear such as the DJM-V5 on current firmware, and the HP-TX01 transmitter, sold separately, connects them to any other mixer.
A newly developed 40 mm driver with a PEEK-PU-PEEK composite diaphragm sits in a housing with a bass-reflex chamber at the top. The swivel mechanism and flexible silicone headband allow one-ear, two-ear or on-shoulder monitoring, the slider is die-cast aluminum, and a bayonet lock keeps the 1.2 m coiled cable from pulling out when used wired.
Bluetooth 5.3 is multipoint, connected to two devices at once, with Google Fast Pair and Windows Swift Pair. A customizable status LED and Find My Headphones run through the HEADPHONES CONNECT app. Battery runs about 9 hours on SonicLink and 25 on Bluetooth with the LED off, and a 30-minute charge gives about 2.5 hours of SonicLink.
