AlphaTheta SLAB is a MIDI pad controller made for Serato Studio, built with Serato, that unlocks the full version of Serato Studio whenever it is connected. It has 16 velocity-sensitive RGB pads with aftertouch, four encoders, a 13 cm touch strip and a display, and works in other DAWs through MIDI Mode.

SLAB is the first MIDI pad controller made for Serato Studio, developed by AlphaTheta with Serato for sampling, sequencing and performance. Plug it in and the full version of Serato Studio unlocks. It is natively mapped to Serato Studio, Serato Sample and Serato DJ Pro, so there is no MIDI mapping to do.
The 16 RGB pads are 29 mm square, velocity sensitive with adjustable aftertouch, and switch between Control pad, Pad FX, Trigger and Step Sequencer modes. A large multi-function dial navigates the library, scrubs decks and edits slices, and Focus Control adjusts plugin parameters without mapping. Four encoders run EQ, Stems, FX and Parameter modes, and the 13 cm touch strip handles filter, pitch, effects level, swing, note repeat and automation.
MIDI Mode turns it into a general MIDI pad controller for Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro or anything with MIDI Learn. It powers and connects over a single USB Type-C cable, and the footprint is smaller than a sheet of letter paper.

Does SLAB Unlock Serato Studio?
Yes. The full version of Serato Studio is unlocked whenever SLAB is connected. Serato Sample needs its own license, and with Serato DJ Pro it works as an add-on device once DJ Pro is unlocked.
Who Is SLAB For?
Beatmakers and producers working in Serato Studio, DJs who sample and build edits in Serato, and anyone who wants a compact pad controller that also works in Ableton Live, FL Studio or Logic Pro.
Does It Have Audio Inputs or Outputs?
No. SLAB is a controller only, with a single USB Type-C port for power and data. Audio comes from the computer or its audio interface.
