AlphaTheta WAVE-EIGHT is an 8-inch battery-powered portable DJ speaker with SonicLink wireless audio at about 15 ms latency. It has a 110 W Class D amplifier, about 8 hours of battery, IPX4 water resistance, 6 EQ modes, a telescopic handle and casters, and a SonicLink transmitter included.
Wireless audio fast enough to DJ through, from a speaker that runs on its own battery.
Bluetooth is too slow to DJ through. SonicLink is not: AlphaTheta quotes about 15 ms of latency against about 250 ms for Bluetooth. The included transmitter plugs into the DJ gear and stores in a compartment on the speaker, and it runs up to 8 hours. Up to four WAVE-EIGHT units link over SonicLink, one for mono, two for stereo, and more as subwoofers, with about 15 ms added per unit.
The speaker runs about 8 hours on its built-in battery and is rated IPX4 for water resistance. A Class D amplifier rated at 110 W drives an 8-inch aramid fiber woofer and a 1-inch soft dome tweeter with a magnetic fluid circuit in a large square horn, with a rear bass reflex port and Vortex Bass Accelerator.
One switch selects six EQ modes: Music, Music Low Cut, Flat, Flat Low Cut, Vocal and Subwoofer. A telescopic handle with vibration damping, ball-bearing casters, grab handles and a pole socket make it easy to move and mount, and the USB Type-C port charges a phone. It pairs with the battery-powered OMNIS-DUO for a fully cable-free setup.

Why AlphaTheta?
AlphaTheta is the parent company behind Pioneer DJ, and it also releases products under its own name. The engineering and the rekordbox ecosystem are shared, so AlphaTheta gear integrates with a Pioneer DJ setup rather than sitting alongside it.
