Alto Professional ALTOCOMP is a 1U digital stereo multiband compressor and limiter, new and factory sealed. It splits each channel into two bands with independent control of highs and lows, runs on a 24 x 32-bit processor with 18-bit Burr-Brown converters, and stores 128 presets with XLR and 1/4 inch TRS connections.

The ALTOCOMP is a two-band stereo digital dynamics processor. Each channel splits into a high and a low band with independent compression and limiting, so a heavy low end can be controlled without pumping the vocals and cymbals above it. AGC, Automatic Gain Control, sits on the input path.
It ships with 16 preset compressor functions, including AGC Pure, Acoustic, Master, Clean, Dance, Kick Drum, Mixdown and Jumping Up, and holds 128 presets in all, 64 ROM and 64 RAM. Units can be cascaded and linked, and the processor works with PC editing and MIDI control software. A 2 x 20 LCD runs the interface.
