Universal Audio Apollo e2m is a 2 by 2 stereo headphone amplifier and line interface over Dante. It carries stereo line inputs with professional A/D conversion for external analog gear, stereo 1/4 in. line outputs, and parallel 1/4 in. and 1/8 in. headphone outputs sharing one analog volume control, with separate mute controls for the line and headphone outputs.

The e2m solves the other half of the problem the e1x solves. Where the e1x puts inputs out on the network, the e2m puts outputs there: a headphone feed for a performer in another room, and a pair of line inputs for whatever analog source happens to be nearby.
The line inputs carry professional A/D conversion, so keyboards, synths, amp emulators and other external analog gear get onto the Dante network properly rather than through a converter of convenience. Outputs are available on 1/4 in. line jacks and on parallel 1/4 in. and 1/8 in. headphone connectors, which covers both studio and consumer headphones without an adapter.
The headphone and line outputs share one analog volume control but have separate mute controls, so a monitor feed can be silenced without touching the line send or the other way round.

What Does the Apollo e2m Do?
Two things at once. It takes a stereo Dante feed and turns it into a headphone mix and a line output wherever it is placed, and it takes a stereo analog source and puts it onto the Dante network through professional A/D conversion. That makes it both a monitor point and an input point.
Who Is Apollo e2m For?
Studios with performers in separate rooms, installations that need monitor feeds distributed around a building, and anyone running a Dante network who needs to get a keyboard or an amp emulator onto it without running analog cable back to the rack.
Can I Use Both Headphone Outputs at Once?
Yes. The 1/4 in. and 1/8 in. headphone outputs run in parallel and share a single analog volume control, so two sets of headphones work simultaneously at the same level.
Can I Mute the Headphones Without Muting the Line Output?
Yes. The line and headphone outputs have separate mute controls even though they share the volume control.
