A Classical Built for the Stage
The mid-depth cutaway Lyrachord bowl does for nylon strings what it has always done for steel: projects the sound forward, resists feedback, and ignores the humidity swings that torment traditional classical guitars. The top is braced for nylon tension, the neck is built in classical fashion without an adjustable steel rod, and the 48mm nut gives a trained left hand the full-width fingerboard real classical technique expects. This is not a steel-string with nylon strings on it; it is a classical instrument on an Ovation platform.
Sound and Electronics
From the factory it ships strung with Hannabach Goldin super-carbon trebles and Goldin basses, nickel-free and cadmium-free strings from one of Germany's most respected classical string houses, an upgrade most builders at any level skip. Through the CE304T preamp with three-band EQ and tuner, the guitar reaches stage volume without a microphone, which is the entire reason this instrument exists. Worship platforms, Latin ensembles, restaurant gigs: places a miked classical guitar loses the fight.
Playability
A 650mm classical scale, 18 nickel silver frets, and the cutaway that traditional classicals refuse to give you. Ovangkol fingerboard and bridge, nickel-plated machine heads, and the bowl's curve resting comfortably against the body through long seated sessions.
