The Jump OM Cutaway Electro is the stage version of Applause's boldest idea: a solid-wood flat-body from the roundback company, in colors no one else dares at this level. The Applause Jump OM Cutway Electric, Peach is that guitar.
Discontinued model, available while supplies last. Once remaining stock sells through, this model is gone for good.
Solid Wood, Serious Build
The top is solid European spruce, not laminate, which means the guitar sounds alive on day one and keeps opening up for years. Ovangkol back and sides, an African cousin of rosewood, bring warmth and complexity, and the European maple neck is set with a dovetail joint, the traditional construction found on instruments far above this tier. A pinless bridge speeds string changes, the Bonoid nut and compensated bridge inlay keep intonation honest up the neck, and Jump Design impact protection guards the edge of the top against the life of a gigging guitar.
Sound and Electronics
The OM body is the fingerstyle and singer-songwriter shape: balanced across the strings, articulate, comfortable, without the low-end bloom of a dreadnought. The cutaway opens the upper frets, and the onboard Applause preamp with tuner takes it straight into a PA or interface. Factory strings are Adamas 1818NU phosphor bronze, Ovation's own 12-53 set, and the open-pore matte finish with the colored top stays thin enough to let the solid spruce actually work.
Playability
A 648mm scale with a 45mm nut, slightly wider than standard, which fingerstyle players will read as an invitation. Twenty nickel silver frets on an ovangkol board, dot inlays, matte chrome machine heads. It plays seriously and looks like nothing else on the stage.
