The Applause Wood Classics AAD96-M is an all-mahogany dreadnought acoustic guitar with a laminated mahogany top, mahogany back and sides, a dovetail neck joint, bone nut and saddle, and an open-pore matte finish. It has a 648 mm scale, 43 mm nut and 20 frets, and is fully acoustic.
A full-size dreadnought in warm, all-mahogany voice.
Mahogany top, back and sides give the AAD96-M a warm, rounded voice with a strong midrange, a different sound from the brighter spruce-top dreadnoughts. The open-pore matte lacquer keeps the finish thin and low-sheen.
It is part of the Applause Wood Classics series, traditional steel-string body shapes in all-wood construction with a dovetail neck joint, bone nut and compensated bone saddle, and a pinless bridge that makes string changes quick.
It comes strung with Adamas 1818NU phosphor bronze strings, .012 to .053.
