The Applause Wood Classics AAT96-4S is a travel-size acoustic guitar with a solid European spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and a 590 mm scale in a smaller dreadnought shape. It keeps the full-size 43 mm nut, dovetail neck joint, bone nut and saddle, and wears an open-pore matte finish with a black top.

A 590 mm scale and smaller dreadnought body make the AAT96-4S easier to carry, easier to fit in a car or overhead bin, and comfortable for players with a shorter reach. The 43 mm nut is the same width as the full-size models, so chord shapes feel normal.
It is part of the Applause Wood Classics series, traditional steel-string body shapes in all-wood construction with a dovetail neck joint, bone nut and compensated bone saddle, and a pinless bridge that makes string changes quick.
Cream binding sets off the black top and mahogany body. It comes strung with Adamas 1818NU, .012 to .053.
