The Applause Wood Classics AAJ96-1 is a jumbo 12-string acoustic-electric guitar with a solid European spruce top, maple back and sides, a 48 mm nut and an Applause AP3TP preamp with built-in tuner. It has a 648 mm scale, dovetail neck joint, bone nut and saddle, gold tuners and a tinted high-gloss sunburst finish.
Big 12-string shimmer, with a preamp built in.
A 12-string doubles every course, with octave strings on the lower four, for the wide, chiming sound heard on countless folk and rock records. The jumbo body gives it room to breathe, maple back and sides keep the sound bright and defined, and the wider 48 mm nut gives each pair of strings space.
It is part of the Applause Wood Classics series, traditional steel-string body shapes in all-wood construction with a dovetail neck joint, bone nut and compensated bone saddle, and a pinless bridge that makes string changes quick.
Gold tuners and black binding with decorative purfling dress up the sunburst top. It comes strung with Adamas 1616NU, .010 to .047.
