Overview

KeyLab MK3 49 is a 49-key MIDI controller keyboard from the third generation KeyLab line, built around Arturia's own software so instruments map without configuration. Forty-nine keys is the two-hands-and-no-more size, which fits a desk beside a screen rather than dominating the room.

Which KeyLab Size Should I Buy?

Forty-nine keys covers two hands comfortably and fits on a desk. Sixty-one gives room for split parts and left-hand bass. Eighty-eight is a full weighted piano range and is a different instrument in practice.

What Does MK3 Change?

The third generation revises the build, the control layout and the integration with Arturia's software. The core proposition is unchanged: a controller that maps to Analog Lab and the V Collection without manual assignment.

Does It Work With Other Software?

Yes, it is a standard MIDI controller and works with any DAW or instrument. The automatic mapping advantage is specific to Arturia's own software.

Why Arturia

Arturia has spent over twenty years building the bridge between vintage instruments and modern production, first in software with the V Collection and then in hardware with the KeyLab, MiniFreak, MicroFreak and AudioFuse lines. The company's controllers are built around its own software ecosystem, which is why a KeyLab maps to an Arturia instrument without configuration.
