The Astatic 930VPL is a variable polar pattern boundary microphone. Mounted flat on a table or ceiling surface, it picks up the whole room evenly, a staple of conference rooms and courtrooms.
It covers 90 Hz - 17 kHz with a variable pickup pattern on a condenser element, keeping the source in focus while pushing room noise and bleed to the background. Self noise is just 24 dBA, quiet enough for close recording work.
