Overview
The module mounts beneath the MTRX motherboard and surfaces in the base unit's Optical I/O slot, becoming an integral part of the chassis. It carries two latching SFP cages that accept 64-channel bidirectional transceivers, so you can run optical MADI over LC connectors or coaxial MADI over mini-BNC, in any combination, for up to 128 channels total.
Because it adds MADI without using the eight main expansion slots, you keep those slots free for analog, Dante, AES3, or other cards. It is configured in DADman and is compatible with Pro Tools | HD MADI interface formats. SFP transceivers are sold separately so you can match wavelength, light source, and connector to your run.
