The Blackmagic PYXIS 12K is a large-format 12K box-style digital film camera that brings URSA Cine image quality into a compact, modular body. This L-Mount version uses the large-format RGBW 12K sensor with extreme resolution and wide dynamic range, ideal for high-end film, VFX and work that needs heavy reframing or future-proof resolution.
Overview
The large-format RGBW 12K sensor captures enormous detail with a wide dynamic range and dual native ISO, so you can reframe, stabilize and finish at lower resolutions while keeping a clean image. It records 12-bit Blackmagic RAW with H.264 proxies to high-speed CFexpress or external USB-C storage, with Blackmagic Cloud sync for collaborative editing in DaVinci Resolve.
The box body carries mounting points across the chassis, dual SDI and HDMI monitoring, mini XLR audio with phantom power, timecode and reference, and front and rear tally. Add the optional PYXIS Monitor for a touchscreen interface.
