Cambridge Audio CXN100 SE is a network music streamer from the CX Series built around an ESS ES9028Q2M SABRE32 DAC and the StreamMagic Gen 4 module, with HDMI eARC, preamp mode, balanced XLR and RCA outputs, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz, Deezer, Roon Ready, Chromecast, AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth aptX HD. It turns an existing hi-fi system into a streaming system, in Black or Lunar Grey.
The CXN100 streamer with HDMI eARC added for TV sound.
The CXN100 replaced the well loved CXN V2 with a new ESS ES9028Q2M SABRE32 DAC, a Gen 4 StreamMagic module and a simplified signal path. Cambridge redesigned the circuitry around the DAC's 32-bit capability to keep the path from source to output short.
The big hi-res color screen shows album artwork across the room. USB Audio, coaxial and TOSLINK inputs let it work as a DAC for a computer or CD transport, and firmware updates arrive through the StreamMagic app.
