Cambridge Audio Solo is a moving magnet phono preamplifier that lets a turntable connect to any amplifier line input. A switch mode power supply and surface mount circuit board keep noise and hum low, with a subsonic filter and balance control on the front panel.

A turntable's signal is too low for most line inputs, and noise is easy to add when boosting it. The Solo's switch mode supply works outside the audible range to cut hum.
The subsonic filter removes low rumble from worn records, and balance control corrects channel differences from the cartridge. Standby draw is under half a watt, and it powers down after 20 minutes without use.

Do I Need a Phono Preamp?
If your amplifier has no phono input, yes. The Solo boosts the turntable signal to line level.
Does the Solo Work With Moving Coil Cartridges?
No. For MC cartridges, choose the Duo.
