CBI MLN-3 is a 3 foot XLR microphone cable from CBI's Performer Series, built on Belden 22 AWG two-conductor low-noise balanced cable with Neutrik X Series male and female XLR connectors. It is the short run for rack patching, drum mics, pedalboard and desk connections where a full length cable would only coil up on the floor.
The length you actually need, built like the long ones.
The MLN Performer Series pairs Belden's flexible 22 gauge stranded copper with Neutrik X Series XLR ends. The connector end cap clamps the cable jacket when tightened, so a pull on the cable loads the clamp rather than the solder joints, which is where most mic cables fail.
CBI builds the same MLN construction from 1 foot to 200 feet. The 3 foot version is the one that keeps a rack, a drum riser or a podium tidy.

What Is a 3 Foot Mic Cable Used For?
Short balanced runs: a microphone to a stage box or snake, a drum mic to a nearby sub snake, a preamp to an interface in the same rack, or a podium mic to a floor pocket. Anywhere a 20 foot cable would be mostly slack.
Will It Pass Phantom Power?
Yes. It is a standard balanced XLR microphone cable, wired pin to pin, so it carries 48V phantom power to condenser microphones and active DI boxes like any XLR mic cable.
Can I Use It for DMX Lighting?
No. Microphone cable and DMX data cable have different electrical characteristics. Use a dedicated DMX cable for lighting control.
