What Is a C-Clamp For?

Mounting a fixture to a truss or a lighting stand crossbar. Almost every fixture needs one, and they are the thing most often forgotten until the rig is already at the venue.

Do I Also Need a Safety Cable?

Yes, and most venues require one. A safety cable is a second independent attachment that holds the fixture if the primary clamp fails. It is cheap and it is not optional overhead.

What Weight Can It Carry?

Match the clamp rating to the fixture weight with margin. A medium duty clamp covers most par cans and small effect fixtures. Heavy moving heads need a correspondingly heavier clamp.

Why Chauvet DJ

Chauvet DJ has been the default answer in mobile DJ and small venue lighting for two decades, built on a simple premise: a lighting rig should set up fast, run without an operator and survive being loaded in and out several nights a week. The ILS system ties fixtures together so a whole rig responds as one without a DMX desk or a programmer, which is the reason a single DJ can run a room's worth of lighting alone. The company is based in Sunrise, Florida.
