DigiTech TRIO+ is a band creator and looper pedal that listens to a guitar part, learns its chords and rhythm, then generates matching bass and drum accompaniment across 12 genres and 12 styles. It adds a five-part song sequencer, a full looper with unlimited overdubs, an effects loop, built-in guitar effects, and microSD storage. Audio runs 24-bit at 44.1 kHz with a 110 dB signal to noise ratio.
Play it your song once and it writes the rest of the band.
Teaching the TRIO+ is one footswitch. Play a part through, press the Band switch to end the learn pass, press it again and the bass and drums come in following the chords and the feel that were played. There is no chord entry, no grid, no programming.
From there it becomes a writing tool. Twelve genres cover blues, R&B, rock, alternative rock, metal, pop, electronic pop and hip-hop among others, each with twelve styles, and Bass and Drums knobs set the mix. A Simple Bass button chooses between three bass line densities, which matters more than it sounds when a busy line fights a busy guitar part.
The Plus is the looper and the sequencer. Guitar loops record with unlimited overdubs on their own level control, either against the band or standalone. Up to five song parts can be built and sequenced into a full arrangement on the fly. Guitar FX runs built-in effects on the guitar signal, and the FX Send and Return jacks patch in outboard pedals instead. Amp Out, Mixer Out and a headphone output cover stage, recording and silent practice.

How Does the TRIO+ Learn a Song?
Press the Band footswitch, play the part through once, press it again to end the pass. The pedal analyzes the chord progression and the rhythm from what was played and builds bass and drum parts that follow it. Press the switch a third time and the band starts.
Who Is the TRIO+ For?
Songwriters who need to hear an idea in context before committing to it, solo performers building a fuller show, and anyone practicing who would rather play against a band than a metronome. It is also common in lesson studios for the same reason.
What Does the Looper Add Over the Standard Trio?
Guitar loops with unlimited overdubs on their own level control, five-part song sequencing so a full arrangement can be assembled live, and microSD storage for the results. Loops can run against the generated band or entirely on their own, like a conventional looper.
How Do I Use My Own Pedals With It?
The FX Send and FX Return jacks put an external effects chain into the guitar path, so a favorite drive or delay sits in front of the band rather than being replaced by the built-in Guitar FX. Both are available at the same time.

DigiTech lists a power supply with the TRIO+. Note the 800 mA draw, which is higher than most pedals and needs a dedicated high-current output on a pedalboard supply.
Can I get the loops off the pedal?
The mini USB port and the microSD card slot both provide access. Loops are stored on the card, up to 32 GB Class 10.
