The Electro-Voice EKX-15P is a powered 15-inch two-way loudspeaker from EV's EKX series. A built-in 1500 W Class D amplifier drives EV-designed transducers to 134 dB of peak output.
It has the headroom for a full band in a 300-seat room without leaning on a subwoofer for vocals. That makes it a natural fit for working bands, mobile DJs, and mid-size rooms. The 15-inch format favors fuller low-mids for full-band material and DJ sets in larger rooms. Run vocals and instruments straight in for small jobs, or feed it from a mixer for full productions; either way there is no amp rack to haul.
System processing runs on EV’s QuickSmart DSP: one knob, an LCD menu, and presets you can recall at soundcheck without touching a computer. A variable-speed fan managed by onboard sensors keeps the amplifier stable through long, hot sets. EV’s patented SST waveguide keeps the coverage pattern consistent, so the mix at the back corner tracks the mix at front of house. Construction is braced 15 mm wood with the EVCoat finish EV uses across its touring gear; it is built to be loaded, not babied.
