The Electro-Voice EKX-15SP is a powered 15-inch subwoofer from EV's EKX series. It delivers 1300 W Class D of low-frequency output and reaches 133 dB peak SPL.
Adding a subwoofer is the single biggest upgrade a portable rig can get: it takes bass duty away from the tops, so vocals clean up while the low end gets physical. It is designed to pair with matching EKX full-range tops over a pole mount for a clean, cable-tidy stack. The EKX platform serves working bands, mobile DJs, and mid-size rooms.
Onboard QuickSmart DSP handles the system processing through EV’s single-knob interface and LCD, so dialing in a room takes seconds instead of a laptop. A variable-speed fan managed by onboard sensors keeps the amplifier stable through long, hot sets. M10 rigging points, a pole cup, and metal handles cover tripod, pole-over-sub, and flown deployments. Multiple units can be arrayed in cardioid configurations to steer bass into the audience and keep up to 35 dB of it off the stage.
