The Electro-Voice ELX200-12 is a passive 12-inch two-way loudspeaker from EV's ELX200 series. It handles 1200 W peak through transducers designed and engineered by EV and reaches 128 dB peak SPL.
This is the box we recommend to gigging musicians, mobile DJs, and rental fleets. It is one of the lightest cabinets in its class, which matters at load-in more than any spec sheet. The 12-inch format is the all-rounder: tight enough for vocals and acoustic acts, big enough for a band in a mid-size room. Passive cabinets keep long-term flexibility: amps can be upgraded or replaced independently, which is why installers and rental houses still spec them.
