The Electro-Voice ELX200-12P is a powered 12-inch two-way loudspeaker from EV's ELX200 series. A built-in 1200 W amplifier drives EV-designed transducers to 130 dB of peak output.
It earns its living with gigging musicians, mobile DJs, and rental fleets. It is one of the lightest cabinets in its class, which matters at load-in more than any spec sheet. The 12-inch format is the all-rounder: tight enough for vocals and acoustic acts, big enough for a band in a mid-size room. Run vocals and instruments straight in for small jobs, or feed it from a mixer for full productions; either way there is no amp rack to haul.
Onboard QuickSmart DSP handles the system processing through EV’s single-knob interface and LCD, so dialing in a room takes seconds instead of a laptop. EV’s patented SST waveguide keeps the coverage pattern consistent, so the mix at the back corner tracks the mix at front of house. Rigging is handled: threaded M10 points for eyebolts, aluminum pole mounts, and all-metal handles for daily transport. Bluetooth handles stream and control: play music wirelessly and adjust levels, EQ, and presets from your phone anywhere in the room.
