The Electro-Voice ELX200-15 is a passive 15-inch two-way loudspeaker from EV's ELX200 series. It handles 1200 W peak through transducers designed and engineered by EV and reaches 130 dB peak SPL.
It earns its living with gigging musicians, mobile DJs, and rental fleets. It is one of the lightest cabinets in its class, which matters at load-in more than any spec sheet. The 15-inch format favors fuller low-mids for full-band material and DJ sets in larger rooms. Passive cabinets keep long-term flexibility: amps can be upgraded or replaced independently, which is why installers and rental houses still spec them.
EV’s patented SST waveguide keeps the coverage pattern consistent, so the mix at the back corner tracks the mix at front of house. Rigging is handled: threaded M10 points for eyebolts, aluminum pole mounts, and all-metal handles for daily transport.
