The FEUR FU-PRO8 is a cardioid dynamic vocal microphone with a 60 Hz to 15 kHz frequency response, 400 ohm output impedance, a die-cast metal body in dark grey with a green steel mesh grille and a 3-pin male XLR connector. It measures 8 inches, weighs 0.89 lb and ships with a carry case.
The long-body version of the FU-PRO7, with more microphone in the hand and more weight on the stand.
The FU-PRO8 shares its electrical design with the FU-PRO7 and changes the physical one. At 8 inches and 0.89 lb it is longer and heavier, which some vocalists strongly prefer. A longer body gives a singer more room to work the microphone at distance, and the extra mass damps handling noise that a lighter body transmits into the capsule.
The response runs 60 Hz to 15 kHz, tuned for voices rather than flat measurement. It rolls off below the range where handling rumble and stage vibration live, and it carries consonants without shoving sibilance to the front of the mix. Cardioid rejection is what gives you working gain before feedback with monitors up front.
Construction is die-cast metal with a steel mesh grille. Sensitivity is minus 50 dB, plus or minus 3 dB, at 1 kHz into a 400 ohm output impedance, which is a strong enough signal that any normal preamp gets there without running out of headroom.

Who Is the FU-PRO8 For?
Vocalists who want a longer, heavier handheld. It suits stage singers who work the microphone at varying distance, and it holds steadier on a stand for spoken word and worship use.
Does It Need Phantom Power?
No. It is a dynamic microphone. No phantom power and no battery, just a standard XLR microphone input.
What Comes in the Box?
The microphone, a microphone clip and stand adapter, a zipper storage pouch and the user manual. KIT versions add a boom stand adapter and a carry bag. Package contents can vary by region, so call 844-687-4208 if you need it confirmed for your order.
What Is the Difference Between the FU-PRO8 and the FU-PRO7?
The electrical specification is identical. The FU-PRO8 is 8 inches and 0.89 lb, the FU-PRO7 is 7 inches and 0.78 lb. It is a handling and balance choice, not a sound quality choice.

FEUR lists these as the professional applications for this model:
- Live Vocal Performance

Why FEUR?
FEUR was founded in Germany by a team of engineers and sound specialists who set out to make professional audio equipment that performs at a high level and stays within reach of the people who actually use it every week. Where most of the industry aims either at high-end studio work or at the bottom of the market, FEUR builds for the working middle: independent artists, houses of worship, schools, mobile operators and installed systems that need gear to show up and work every week.

Will it work with a standard microphone cable?

Which FEUR microphone is best for live vocal performance?
All FU vocal microphones feature cardioid polar patterns optimized for live stage use. The FU-603 and FU-629 offer 600 Ω output impedance for ideal compatibility with professional mixing consoles. The FU-658SW adds an on/off switch for presenters who frequently mute between speaking moments.
Do these microphones require phantom power?
No. All FU dynamic microphones are passive devices requiring no external power supply or phantom power from the mixing console.
What polarity standard do FEUR microphones follow?
All FEUR microphones adhere to IEC 60268-4 polarity convention: positive acoustic pressure on the diaphragm produces positive voltage on pin 2 of the XLR output, ensuring phase compatibility across professional audio systems.
