Overview

32Classic is a channel strip built on the Harrison 32 Series console circuit, the desk that came out of Nashville in 1975 and went on to mix a great deal of what you have heard. Preamp and EQ in the original topology rather than a modern approximation.

The Nashville console circuit, one channel at a time.

The Sound of Legends The 32Classic Channel Strip Plug-in by Harrison Audio is a fully featured channel strip complete with four-band parametric EQ, High Pass and Low Pass filters, transformer saturation with Drive control, Compressor and Gate/Expander - everything you need to make music with the classic Harrison sound. Emulating the Harrison 32Classic analog mixing console, the 32Classic Channel Strip Plug-in delivers the sound and workflow that generations of artists and engineers have trusted to help craft their sound. Whether it was Michael Jackson, John Coltrane, and Diana Ross at Westlake Studios, or BB King, Steely Dan, and Fleetwood Mac at The Village, LA. ABBA, Led Zeppelin, and Adam Ant at Polar Studios, Stockholm. Or Kenny Rogers, Johnny Cash, and Al Green at Sound Emporium, Nashville. The 32 Series console helped create some of the most influential music ever made, and now with the 32Classic plug-in, you can access the sound and workflow in your DAW that engineers like Bruce Swedien, Roger Nichols, and Reinhold Mack trusted to make music that stands the test of time.

What Was the Harrison 32 Series?

A console introduced in 1975 that became a fixture in Nashville and beyond, known for a particular midrange character and an EQ section engineers still describe by name. The 32Classic puts that circuit into a single channel.

Is This a Recreation or the Original Circuit?

Harrison is the original company, so this is their own design rather than a third-party clone. That is a meaningful distinction in a market full of recreations.

What Is It Best On?

The 32 Series reputation was built on vocals and on the midrange of guitars and drums, which is where the EQ character is most useful.

Why Harrison Audio

Harrison built the consoles that mixed a large share of the records and films you know, starting in Nashville in 1975 with the 32 Series. The MR3 EQ and the 32C channel strip are the circuits that gave those desks their sound. Harrison is now part of the Solid State Logic group, and the current products put those original designs into 500 series modules, rackmount interfaces and networked systems.
