IK Multimedia TONEX Plug with Pouch is the portable headphone amp and tone modeler supplied with IK's custom carrying pouch. The unit holds 30 Tone Model presets, runs 24-bit and 96 kHz converters with 5 Hz to 20 kHz response and up to 119 dB dynamic range, works as a USB audio interface, and is controlled from a phone over Bluetooth Low Energy.

TONEX is IK's AI Machine Modeling platform. Instead of emulating a circuit, it listens to a real amp, cabinet or pedal and builds a Tone Model of how that rig actually responded. Models are shared and downloaded through ToneNET, so the library keeps growing without a firmware update.
This is the standard TONEX Plug with a custom pouch added. At 40 x 75 x 20 mm and 70 g the unit is small enough to lose in a gig bag, which is exactly the problem the pouch solves. It also keeps the plug contacts clean when it is rattling around with cables and picks.
Function is unchanged. Plug into the instrument jack, connect headphones, power over USB-C at 5 V and 700 mA, and control presets from the TONEX Control app on iOS 16 or later or Android 14 or later. Connected to a computer it records at 24-bit and 44.1 kHz.
