IK Multimedia iLoud MTM MKII White is a stereo pair of three-driver MTM studio monitors in white with measured room calibration built into the cabinet. Two 3.5 in. cellulose composite mid-woofers flank a 1 in. back-chambered silk dome tweeter, driven by 100 W RMS of Class-D power for 48 Hz to 28 kHz within 2 dB and 110.5 dB peak SPL, from a cabinet measuring 264 x 160 x 130 mm and weighing 2.5 kg.
MTM geometry for tight vertical dispersion, so the desk and the ceiling stop coloring the mix.
The midwoofer-tweeter-midwoofer layout exists for one reason: it narrows vertical dispersion. Sound that would otherwise bounce off the desk in front of you and the ceiling above you never leaves the speaker at full level, so what reaches your ears is closer to what the speaker actually produced. MTM MKII keeps that tight vertical pattern while widening the horizontal pattern, which gives a broader usable sweet spot than most MTM designs.
Phase behavior is the other half of the story. The digital linear phase crossover at 2.8 kHz holds the system coherent within plus or minus 15 degrees from 200 Hz to 20 kHz. Transients arrive intact, which is why the low end reads as fast rather than as loud.
ARC X is IK's room correction platform. The monitor measures the room with the ARC microphone, builds a correction profile and applies it inside its own DSP, so the correction travels with the speaker instead of living in a plug-in on one computer.

Why Does the MTM Driver Layout Matter?
Two mid-woofers arranged symmetrically around the tweeter narrow the vertical dispersion of the speaker. Less energy goes toward the desk surface and the ceiling, so fewer early reflections come back into the listening position and the in-room response stays closer to the anechoic response. It is a physical fix for a room problem, applied before any correction runs.
Who Is iLoud MTM MKII For?
Mixing and mastering in rooms that are not fully treated, desktop setups where reflections are unavoidable, and front of house positions where a compact monitor has to hold up at volume. The bottom mic stand mount also makes it a practical immersive and overhead speaker, which is why IK offers it in an eleven-speaker configuration.
What Comes in the Box?
Two iLoud MTM MKII monitors with tilting stands, horizontal feet and locking keys, two power cords, two USB cables, the ARC measurement microphone with clamp, and the XLR to 1/8 in. TS calibration cable.
Can It Be Mounted for Immersive or Overhead Use?
Yes. There is a mic stand thread on the bottom for stands and boom arms, and IK makes a wall and ceiling bracket that fits MTM MKII. That is the standard route for building 5.1.4 and 7.1.4 rooms out of these.

Why IK Multimedia?
IK Multimedia has been building music production hardware and software in Modena, Italy since 1996, with US operations in Sunrise, Florida. The company is behind AmpliTube, T-RackS, TONEX, the ARC room correction platform and the iLoud monitor range, and it designs its own DSP, converters and analog front ends rather than assembling reference designs.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a genuine IK Multimedia product?
Yes. Victory is a veteran owned dealer in Miami and units ship new in original packaging with full manufacturer support.
Is this covered by warranty?
Yes. This unit carries the full IK Multimedia manufacturer warranty, registered to you as the original purchaser. Call 844-687-4208 with the current term for your region.
Is the ARC microphone included?
It ships with the pair and immersive versions along with the XLR to 1/8 in. calibration cable. The single speaker version does not include it.
How is MKII different from the original iLoud MTM?
MKII uses improved drivers, holds a wider horizontal dispersion for a larger sweet spot, and adds better power efficiency and higher maximum SPL. Vertical dispersion stays tight, which was the point of the original design.
Does each speaker need its own power outlet?
Yes. Each MTM MKII is individually powered and individually calibrated, so a stereo pair needs two outlets.
