IK Multimedia AXE I/O ONE is a compact USB-C audio interface for guitar recording with one Class-A discrete microphone preamp, a variable impedance instrument input, balanced monitor outputs and a dedicated amp output with ground lift. Conversion is 24-bit at sample rates to 192 kHz, with 108 dB dynamic range across the inputs and outputs.
The guitar input from AXE I/O, in a smaller box.
AXE I/O ONE keeps the part of AXE I/O that matters most to a guitar player and drops the channel count. The instrument input uses the same multiple topology preamp with variable impedance, sweeping from 1 MOhm down to 2.2 kOhm in passive mode and sitting at 10 kOhm in active mode, so pickup loading remains a tone control rather than a fixed value.
It also keeps the PURE and JFET input stages. PURE measures 0.0018 percent THD at -1 dBFS for a transparent capture. JFET runs at 0.42 percent, deliberately, adding the harmonic content of a valve style input stage before the signal reaches the converter. That is an analog decision made once, not a plug-in applied afterwards.
One Class-A discrete microphone preamp with 4 kOhm differential impedance covers vocals and amp mics, balanced monitor outputs run at 150 Ohms, and output 3 is the amp output with selectable ground lift for reamping. The host connection is USB Type-C.

What Is the Difference Between PURE and JFET Modes?
PURE is a transparent input stage at 0.0018 percent THD. JFET deliberately runs at 0.42 percent, adding harmonic content in the same way a valve input stage does. It is an analog color applied before conversion, so it behaves under the fingers rather than after the fact.
How Much I/O Does AXE I/O ONE Have?
One microphone input, one instrument input, two balanced monitor outputs, one amp output with ground lift and a headphone output. Two in and three out, over a single USB-C connection.
Who Is AXE I/O ONE For?
Solo guitar players recording one source at a time who still want a proper instrument front end and a reamp output. Also a good travel interface, since it connects over USB-C and takes very little desk space.
What Comes in the Box?
The AXE I/O ONE and a 1.5 m USB-A to USB-C connection cable.

Why IK Multimedia?
IK Multimedia has been building music production hardware and software in Modena, Italy since 1996, with US operations in Sunrise, Florida. The company is behind AmpliTube, T-RackS, TONEX, the ARC room correction platform and the iLoud monitor range, and it designs its own DSP, converters and analog front ends rather than assembling reference designs.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a genuine IK Multimedia product?
Yes. Victory is a veteran owned dealer in Miami and units ship new in original packaging with full manufacturer support.
Is this covered by warranty?
Yes. This unit carries the full IK Multimedia manufacturer warranty, registered to you as the original purchaser. Call 844-687-4208 with the current term for your region.
Can I record guitar and vocals at the same time?
Yes. The microphone input and the instrument input are independent channels, so both record simultaneously to separate tracks.
Does it reamp?
Yes. Output 3 is a dedicated amp output, unbalanced and floating with a selectable ground lift.
How does it differ from the full AXE I/O?
AXE I/O ONE has one mic preamp instead of two, three outputs instead of five, connects over USB-C, and runs 108 dB dynamic range against 116 dB. The instrument front end and the amp output philosophy carry over.
