IK Multimedia iRig Pro Duo I/O is a two-channel portable audio and MIDI interface with two balanced XLR microphone inputs at 3.2 kOhm and 50 dB of gain with +48 V phantom power, two 1 MOhm Hi-Z instrument inputs, and two balanced 1/4 in. TRS line outputs delivering +16 dBu into 600 Ohms with 106 dB dynamic range. Conversion is 24-bit at 44.1 and 48 kHz.
Two microphones or two instruments, recorded properly, away from the studio.
Two channels is the difference between capturing a performance and reconstructing one. Two people talking, a guitar and a vocal, a stereo pair on a room, all of it needs two simultaneous inputs, and iRig Pro Duo I/O provides them with real preamps rather than a splitter.
The microphone inputs are balanced XLR at 3.2 kOhm with 50 dB of gain and +48 V phantom power, with input noise at -103 dBA. The instrument inputs are 1 MOhm Hi-Z, responding from 2 Hz to 21 kHz at minimum gain and 5 Hz to 21 kHz at maximum, with noise between -102 and -104 dBA depending on gain.
Outputs are the part that separates this from smaller iRig units. Two balanced TRS line outputs, floating with automatic level compensation for unbalanced connections, at 150 Ohm output impedance and +16 dBu maximum into a 600 Ohm balanced load. That feeds a PA, a pair of monitors or a camera without a DI box in between.

How Much I/O Does iRig Pro Duo I/O Have?
Two combination channels, each taking either a balanced XLR microphone or a Hi-Z instrument, plus two balanced line outputs, MIDI in and out and a headphone output. Two sources record simultaneously to separate tracks.
Who Is iRig Pro Duo I/O For?
Two-person podcasts and interviews, singer songwriters tracking voice and guitar together, mobile video crews needing two microphones, and small live streams. The balanced line outputs also make it usable as a playback source into a PA.
Is iRig Pro Duo I/O Good for Location Recording?
Yes. Two XLR inputs with phantom power, MIDI, and balanced outputs, running from batteries, USB or an optional DC supply. Two-person interviews, a stereo pair on location, or a guitar and a vocal into a laptop all work with nothing plugged into a wall.
Why Do Balanced Outputs Matter?
A balanced output rejects noise picked up along the cable run, which matters as soon as the cable is longer than a desk. These outputs are also floating with automatic level compensation, so they work correctly into balanced or unbalanced destinations without a level change.
Can It Power Two Condenser Microphones?
Yes. +48 V phantom power is available at plus or minus 4 V. Use external power rather than device power when running two condensers on a long session.
