IK Multimedia TONEX Pedal is a floor pedal amp and cab modeler that holds 150 customizable presets, runs 24-bit and 192 kHz converters with 5 Hz to 24 kHz response and up to 123 dB dynamic range, and doubles as a USB audio interface at 24-bit and 44.1 kHz. MIDI in and out, an expression pedal input and a headphone output are all on board, in a chassis measuring 176 x 142 x 55 mm.

TONEX is IK's AI Machine Modeling platform. Instead of emulating a circuit, it listens to a real amp, cabinet or pedal and builds a Tone Model of how that rig actually responded. Models are shared and downloaded through ToneNET, so the library keeps growing without a firmware update.
The pedal is the stage version of that platform. 150 preset slots mean an entire set can live in the box, and MIDI in and out let a controller or a DAW change them for you. The expression pedal input can be assigned to any parameter, so a volume pedal becomes a gain sweep, a wah sweep or anything else that matters in a given song.
The converters are the part that keeps it honest at high gain: 24-bit and 192 kHz with up to 123 dB of dynamic range and response from 5 Hz to 24 kHz. Direct to front of house, direct to a powered cab, or in front of a real amp, the noise floor stays where it belongs. TONEX MAX software is included for building your own captures.

How Is Tone Modeling Different From Amp Simulation?
TONEX is IK's AI Machine Modeling platform. Instead of emulating a circuit, it listens to a real amp, cabinet or pedal and builds a Tone Model of how that rig actually responded. Models are shared and downloaded through ToneNET, so the library keeps growing without a firmware update. An amp simulation is somebody's model of a circuit. A Tone Model is a measurement of one specific rig on one specific day, including the cabinet, the microphone and the room if they were in the chain.
Who Is TONEX Pedal For?
Players going direct to front of house, fly dates where an amp is not travelling, session work that needs a different rig every song, and anyone who has run out of room on the pedalboard for the amps they actually want. The 150 presets and MIDI control make it a working set tool rather than a demo toy.
Is TONEX Pedal Good for Fly Dates?
It is a common fly rig. One pedal replaces the amp, the cab and most of the drive pedals, it runs on a standard 9 V supply, and the balanced XLR output goes straight to front of house so there is nothing to mic.
What Comes in the Box?
The TONEX Pedal, a 1.5 m USB-A to USB-B cable, the power supply unit and four adhesive rubber feet. TONEX MAX software for Mac and PC is included with the registration.
Can It Record Into a DAW?
Yes. It works as a USB audio interface at 24-bit and 44.1 kHz, so you can record the processed signal straight into a DAW without a separate interface. For higher sample rates use it as a pedal into a dedicated interface instead.

How is TONEX Pedal different from TONEX ONE?
TONEX Pedal holds 150 presets and adds MIDI in and out, an expression pedal input and a headphone output in a full size chassis. TONEX ONE holds 20 presets in a mini enclosure with no MIDI. Same modeling engine underneath.
Can I make my own captures?
Yes. The included TONEX software for Mac and PC captures your own amps and pedals. A reamp box such as TONEX Capture makes that process considerably easier.
Does it need a computer to perform live?
No. Presets are stored in the pedal. The computer is only used for loading, organizing and capturing.
