IN-8 V2 is a 3-way coaxial studio monitor pairing an 8 inch woofer with a coaxial 4 inch midrange and 1 inch tweeter on a single acoustic centre. It combines the point-source imaging of a coaxial design with the low-end extension of an 8 inch driver, and a low-noise port keeps the bass clean rather than chuffing.

The IN-8 is the speaker that made the Independence series. It takes the coincident 3-way architecture, where the tweeter sits at the acoustic centre of the midrange and the woofer is crossed over low enough never to fight it, and puts a full 8 inch driver underneath.
That combination is unusual at this position in the market. Point-source imaging normally comes from small coaxial designs with limited low end, and 8 inch extension normally comes from 2-way monitors with the imaging compromises that implies. The IN-8 V2 refuses to choose, adding a low-noise port tube for clean bass and boundary compensation EQ so it behaves in real rooms.

How Is the IN-8 Different From the LP-8?
The LP-8 is a 2-way with the tweeter above the woofer. The IN-8 is a 3-way with the midrange and tweeter coaxial on one acoustic centre and a dedicated woofer below the crossover. The IN-8 images more precisely and holds its response better off axis.
What Is the Low-Noise Port For?
Ports produce audible turbulence when air moves through them fast. A low-noise port tube shapes that airflow so the bass stays clean at level instead of adding chuffing to the bottom end.
Is It Sold Singly or as a Pair?
Singly. A stereo pair is two units, and immersive setups need one per channel.
