IN-UNF is a 3-way ultra nearfield monitor system built for desks where a normal pair of monitors will not physically fit or will not work at that distance. Satellites plus a separate bass unit put full-range response within arm's reach of the listener rather than across a room.

Standard nearfields assume a listening distance of a metre or more. Sat closer than that, the drivers have not summed yet and the sound is incoherent. That is the situation for anyone working at a small desk, in a bedroom, in a broadcast booth or on a cart.
The IN-UNF is designed for that distance specifically. Compact satellites handle the mids and highs close to the listener while a separate bass unit takes the low end, which is where the size is really needed. The result is genuine full-range monitoring in a footprint that leaves the desk usable.

What Does Ultra Nearfield Mean?
A listening distance closer than a standard nearfield monitor is designed for, roughly under a metre. Ordinary monitors do not sum correctly that close, which is why a dedicated design exists for it.
How Is the IN-UNF Different From the LP-UNF?
The IN-UNF is a 3-way system with separate satellites and a bass unit. The LP-UNF is a compact powered pair. The IN-UNF goes further in low-end capability and system flexibility.

Why Kali Audio
Kali Audio was started in Burbank in 2018 by engineers out of the professional audio industry, and the whole company is built on one idea: measure everything, publish the measurements, and let the numbers do the arguing. Every product line is named after a California town. Lone Pine is the entry range, Independence is the 3-way coaxial line, Santa Monica is the flagship, and Watts is the subwoofer series. Kali became the reference for value in studio monitoring by beating far more expensive speakers on measured response rather than on marketing.
