MM-6 is a powered bookshelf speaker built on Kali's studio monitor engineering but aimed at listening rather than mixing. It takes optical, RCA, XLR and SPDIF inputs and comes with a remote, so it works as a desktop system, a television system or a small hi-fi.

People who work on studio monitors all day frequently have nothing decent at home, because consumer speakers at this price are voiced to impress in a showroom rather than to be accurate. Kali built the MM-6 to close that gap using the same measurement-driven approach as its monitors.
The connectivity is what separates it from a studio monitor. Optical and SPDIF handle a television or a streamer directly, RCA covers a turntable preamp or a games console, XLR covers professional sources, and a remote handles the things you actually do from a sofa.

Is the MM-6 a Studio Monitor?
It is built on the same engineering but voiced and equipped for listening. The optical, SPDIF and RCA inputs and the remote are aimed at a desk, a television or a small hi-fi rather than a console.
What Can I Connect to It?
Optical and SPDIF for a television or streamer, RCA for a turntable preamp or console, and XLR for professional sources. That covers most of what a desktop or living room system needs without a separate amplifier.
Does It Need a Subwoofer?
A 6 inch driver covers most listening comfortably. For film or bass-heavy material a Watts series subwoofer adds the bottom octave.
Why Kali Audio
Kali Audio was started in Burbank in 2018 by engineers out of the professional audio industry, and the whole company is built on one idea: measure everything, publish the measurements, and let the numbers do the arguing. Every product line is named after a California town. Lone Pine is the entry range, Independence is the 3-way coaxial line, Santa Monica is the flagship, and Watts is the subwoofer series. Kali became the reference for value in studio monitoring by beating far more expensive speakers on measured response rather than on marketing.
