WS-6.2 is a dual 6 inch studio subwoofer from Kali's Watts series, using two smaller drivers rather than one large one. Two 6 inch cones move the same air as a single larger driver while starting and stopping faster, which is what keeps a subwoofer tight instead of woolly.

A subwoofer's problem is not producing low frequencies, it is stopping producing them on time. A large heavy cone has momentum, so bass notes smear into each other and the low end turns into a general rumble rather than distinct pitches.
Two 6 inch drivers displace comparable air with far less moving mass each, so transient response is quicker and the bass stays defined. In a studio that matters more than raw extension, because the job is hearing what the low end is actually doing rather than feeling it.

Why Two 6 Inch Drivers Instead of One 12 Inch?
Two smaller cones move comparable air with much less moving mass each, so they start and stop faster. That gives tighter, more defined bass, which is what a studio subwoofer is for, as opposed to the maximum output a single large driver provides.
Which Monitors Does It Pair With?
It is sized to extend nearfield systems, so it suits the LP and IN series. For larger rooms or systems built on 8 inch monitors, the WS-12 goes deeper.
Do I Need a Subwoofer at All?
If you mix electronic music, film or anything with deliberate content below your monitors' range, yes. If you work mainly on acoustic material through 8 inch monitors, often not.
