Mahalo MR1 Rainbow Series Soprano Ukulele in Blue is a soprano ukulele for first-time players, kids, classrooms and anyone who wants a colorful uke to keep close at hand. It has a sengon body, a jabon neck, Aquila Super Nylgut strings, a Graph Tech NuBone XB saddle and geared dolphin-shaped tuners, and it comes with a carry bag.

The Rainbow Series is Mahalo's redesign of its long-running U30 soprano. Geared machine heads hold tuning far better than friction pegs, which matters most to beginners who are still learning to tune by ear. The Graph Tech NuBone XB bridge saddle adds projection and low end, and Italian-made Aquila Super Nylgut strings give a fuller, more balanced sound than stock nylon.
The gold-plated tuners are shaped like dolphins, a Mahalo signature, and the blue gloss finish is one of ten Rainbow colors.

Is the Mahalo MR1 Good for Beginners?
Yes. The soprano size is easy for small hands, the geared tuners keep it in tune between sessions, and the Aquila strings make it sound better than most entry ukuleles. Standard tuning is G C E A.
What Is the Difference Between the MR1 and the MR1 Package?
The MR1 is the ukulele with a carry bag. The MR1 package version adds Mahalo package packaging around the same Rainbow soprano.
