Universal Audio Mic Mount for UA Mics, Silver is the Universal Audio mic mount for UA microphones, finished in silver. It holds the microphone rigidly on the stand, which suits live use and tight positioning where a shockmount would not fit.
Holds the mic where you put it, in less space.
A shockmount does one job: it stops mechanical vibration reaching the capsule. Footsteps, desk knocks, and the low-frequency rumble a building carries all travel up a stand and into a rigidly mounted microphone, where they arrive as thumps that no filter removes cleanly.
Suspending the microphone in elastic breaks that path. The elastic is compliant enough that vibration coming up the stand loses most of its energy before it reaches the body of the microphone, while the microphone stays where it was aimed.
A rigid mic mount is the alternative when isolation is not the priority. It holds the microphone firmly and takes up less room, which suits live use, tight positioning around a drum kit and situations where the stand is not being touched during the take.

When Is a Rigid Mount the Better Choice?
When space is tight, when the stand will not be touched during the take, and on live stages where a suspended microphone can move out of position. A rigid mount also holds aim more precisely around a drum kit where the microphone has to sit in a specific spot.
Which Microphones Does It Fit?
Universal Audio microphones. Call 844-687-4208 with the model you own and we will confirm the fit before you order, since body diameters differ across the range.
Does It Come With the Microphone?
Universal Audio packages mounts differently across the range, and some microphones ship with a case but not a mount. Call 844-687-4208 and we will check what is in the box for your specific model before you buy a second one.
What Stand Does It Fit?
Standard microphone stand threading. Call 844-687-4208 if you are working with a non-standard stand or need an adapter and we will sort it out with the order.

Why Universal Audio?
Universal Audio was founded in 1958 by M.T. "Bill" Putnam, the engineer who built the first recording console with integrated equalization and effects sends, and who designed the 1176 and the 610. The company was revived in 1999 by his sons and now does two things: it still hand-builds analog hardware in California, and it licenses and models the classics from Neve, API, Manley, SSL, Lexicon, Studer, Ampex and others rather than emulating them without authorization.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a genuine Universal Audio product?
Yes. Victory is a veteran owned dealer in Miami and units ship new in original packaging with full manufacturer support, including software registration rights.
Which microphones does it fit?
Universal Audio microphones. Call 844-687-4208 with your model and we will confirm the fit before you order.
Is a mount already included with my microphone?
It varies by model. Call 844-687-4208 and we will check what ships in the box before you order a spare.
What is the difference between a shockmount and a mic mount?
A shockmount suspends the microphone in elastic to isolate it from vibration travelling up the stand. A mic mount holds it rigidly, takes less space and keeps aim precise, but passes that vibration through.
Does it fit a standard stand?
Yes, standard microphone stand threading. Call 844-687-4208 if you need an adapter for a non-standard stand.
