What is the AV Line M4250-26G4F-POE Managed Switch?
Most managed switches assume an IT administrator. The M4250 ships with a second interface built for AV work, where colour-coded port profiles replace multicast theory. Assign a port the Dante profile and IGMP, QoS and VLAN behaviour are set correctly without touching a command line. Connect two M4250 units and Auto-Trunk and Auto-LAG configure the link between them automatically.

No. Assign the Dante profile to the relevant ports and multicast, QoS and VLAN settings are applied correctly.
Will it work with NDI and Q-SYS too?
Yes. Profiles for NDI, NVX, AMX, Q-SYS and AES67 are built in, plus mixed audio, video and control profiles.
What happens when I add a second switch?
Auto-Trunk and Auto-LAG configure the interconnect automatically in a star topology.
Is AVB supported?
Yes, on supported models. Some units require an AVB licence key, others have it enabled in current firmware.
