Nord took the Organ series off the price list for several years. The Organ 3 is the reason why. Rather than iterate, they rebuilt the organ engine, the modulation and the rotary speaker from the ground up.
The result is the level of detail and realism that the rest of the Nord line has now inherited. The same rotary speaker and organ engine appear in the Electro 7, which tells you how much confidence Nord has in it.
For anybody playing organ as their primary instrument rather than as one sound among several, this is the Nord to buy. Two manuals, real drawbars for each, and a panel laid out for a player who is changing registration while both hands are busy.
The panel is laid out for a player whose hands are already busy. Drawbars for both manuals sit where your left hand falls, and the rotary controls are reachable without looking down.

What Makes the Organ 3 Different From the Electro 7 Organ?
Same engine, different instrument.
The Electro 7 borrows the Organ 3 engine and rotary speaker, but it is a single manual keyboard with a piano and synth section sharing the panel. The Organ 3 is two physical manuals with dedicated drawbars for each, which is a different playing experience entirely when you are working upper against lower.
Does It Work With a Half Moon Switch?
Yes. The Nord Half-Moon Switch, AMS-NHMS, mounts to the Organ 3 and gives you the traditional rotary speed control under your left hand rather than reaching for a panel button. It also fits the C1, C2, C2D and the Electro 61 and 73.
Who Is the Organ 3 For?
Players whose primary instrument is the organ rather than the piano.
If organ is one sound among several in your set, an Electro 7 gives you the same engine alongside piano and synth sections on a single manual. The Organ 3 is for the player who wants two manuals under their hands all night and treats everything else as secondary.
What Comes in the Box?
Nord ships the instrument with its power cable and documentation. The stand, case, half moon switch and pedals are all separate items.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a swell pedal?
For traditional organ playing, yes. Expression is how you shape a phrase on an organ, and the instrument has a control pedal input for it. The Nord Expression Pedal is available in 15 and 30 degree throw angles.
Can I use it as a MIDI controller for other sounds?
Yes. Two manuals sending MIDI makes a capable master controller, and organ players often drive a second sound source from the lower manual.
Is this a two manual organ?
Yes. The Organ 3 has two physical manuals with drawbars for each, rather than a single keyboard splitting duty between upper and lower.
What legs fit the Organ 3?
The AMS-NC2LAL-3 Nord Organ Aluminum Legs fit the C2, C2D and Organ 3. The earlier AMS-NC2LAL-2 legs fit the C2 and C2D only and will not fit the Organ 3.
Which soft case fits it?
The AMS-GBC soft case covers the C1, C2, C2D and Organ 3.
