The Nord Piano Monitor V2 is a compact active stereo nearfield speaker system engineered specifically for the electric and acoustic pianos in the Nord Piano Library. Sold as a pair.
Monitors voiced for one job: making the Nord Piano Library sound the way it was sampled.
General purpose studio monitors are voiced to be neutral across everything. The Piano Monitor system is voiced for the specific dynamic range and frequency content of the Nord Piano Library, which is a narrower and more useful target.
The V2 revision moves the mounting brackets to the bottom of the speaker rather than the rear, and the brackets are now included in the box rather than sold separately.
They are compatible with all Nord products, and work as a nearfield pair on any desk.
They are active, so there is no separate amplifier to carry or match. Feed them a line level signal and they are ready.

What Changed in V2?
Two things. The bracket design now mounts directly to the bottom of the speaker instead of the back, which gives a cleaner installation on a keyboard stand. And the brackets ship in the box, so you are not ordering a separate part to complete the system.
Do They Work With Non Nord Keyboards?
Yes. They are active stereo speakers with standard inputs and will take a line level signal from any keyboard or interface. The voicing is optimized for Nord piano sounds but there is nothing proprietary about the connection.
Where Do They Mount?
On the keyboard stand or on a desk. The V2 brackets attach to the bottom of each speaker, which puts them either side of the instrument at ear height rather than behind it. That is the position the voicing assumes.
What Comes in the Box?
A stereo pair of active speakers and the mounting brackets, which are included on the V2 where they were a separate purchase on the earlier version.

Why Nord
Nord instruments are designed and built by Clavia DMI in Stockholm, Sweden. The Piano Monitor system was developed alongside the Nord Piano Library rather than bought in and rebadged.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use them as studio monitors?
They will work for general listening, but they are voiced for the Nord Piano Library rather than for neutral mix referencing. For mix decisions use a monitor designed to be flat.
Do they need a subwoofer?
For piano and electric piano at nearfield distances, no. The system was engineered as a complete solution for that material.
Is the price for one speaker or a pair?
A pair. The AMS-NPIANO-MONITOR-V2 is sold as a complete stereo system.
Are the brackets included?
Yes. On the V2 the brackets ship in the box. On the earlier version they were a separate purchase.
Is there a case for them?
Yes, the AMS-GBPM Soft Case Piano Monitor.
Is this a genuine Nord product?
Yes. Victory Musical Instruments is a veteran owned pro audio and musical instrument dealer in Miami, Florida. Every unit ships new and unopened in original Nord packaging.
