OBSBOT Wireless Multi-Cam Connector is a palm sized Wi-Fi 6 receiver that links up to three OBSBOT Tail 2 or Tail Air cameras to a phone or tablet over USB-C, with no router and no camera cables. Three labeled buttons switch between CAM1, CAM2 and CAM3, and a second USB-C port keeps the phone charging while the stream runs.
It turns a phone into a three camera switcher you can carry in a pocket.
Overview
Multi camera streaming from a phone normally means a hotspot, and a phone hotspot is Wi-Fi 5 and gets interrupted every time the operating system decides to do something else. The Connector replaces that with a dedicated Wi-Fi 6 link, which is faster, reaches further and holds up better under load.
Pairing is a one time job. Triple click the power button on each Tail camera, wait for the indicator to go green, and from then on the Connector reconnects to those cameras on its own the next time everything powers up.
The camera feeds land in the Obsbot Live app, which handles the switching, picture in picture, the audio mixer and the transitions. That app is the only place these feeds can go, so read the compatibility note below before ordering.

What Does the OBSBOT Wireless Multi-Cam Connector Do?
It receives video and audio from Tail series cameras over its own Wi-Fi 6 network and hands them to a phone or tablet through one USB-C cable. From there Obsbot Live does the production work: cutting between angles, laying one camera over another as picture in picture, balancing audio levels and running transitions.
Which Cameras Does It Work With?
OBSBOT Tail 2 and OBSBOT Tail Air, up to three of them at once. It does not work with the OBSBOT Talent. It is also exclusive to the Obsbot Live mobile app, so it is not a path to OBS or Zoom on a laptop. Why Not Just Use a Phone Hotspot?
A phone hotspot runs Wi-Fi 5 and gets dropped whenever the phone prioritizes something else, which on a live stream is the worst possible moment. The Connector runs its own Wi-Fi 6 link, so the transfer is faster, the range is longer and the connection holds. It also frees the phone radio to stay on cellular for the outbound stream.

How far can the cameras be from the receiver?
Up to about 30 m, roughly 98 ft, with line of sight. Walls, bodies and other 5 GHz traffic will shorten that.
