The Origin Series is a Gen 3 platform built on a Super 80 S2 body with a copper nickel neck and vertically extruded tone holes. It is not a lower tier than the Uprise Series. It is a different instrument with a different response, and players choose between them on sound rather than on rank.

Every Origin horn carries full body and bell engraving, Pisoni WS105 pads on convex nickel plated resonators over waterproof tan leather and deluxe woven felt, blue steel springs, high grade pearls, a custom support ring, a rod support bullet, a G sharp and low C sharp non-stick mechanism, and adjustable left and right hand keys with a palm key rising mechanism on D, E flat, E and F.

What Should I Look For in a Professional Baritone?

Low end stability and balance. A baritone is carried rather than held, so the support ring and the balance point matter as much as the bore. Below low D the horn has to hold its centre instead of spreading, which comes down to how the bow and bell are made and how reliably the low keys seal.

What Is the Difference Between the Origin and Uprise Series?
